Step-by-step overview

    Create your account
    Go to spynra.com/signup and enter your email and a password. You'll be taken directly to your dashboard — no email confirmation required to get started.

    Create your first project
    From your dashboard, click New Waitlist. Give it a name (this is internal — your signups won't see it), then add a headline and description that will appear on the signup form. This is your pitch: what are people signing up for?

    Choose embed or hosted page
    You have two options: embed the widget on your own website (recommended), or use a Spynra-hosted page if you don't have a site yet. Both give signups a unique referral link automatically.

    Configure referrals (optional but recommended)
    In your project settings, go to the Referral tab. Set your reward text (e.g., "Move up the waitlist for every friend you refer") and customize the leaderboard headline. Referrals are enabled by default on all plans.

    Set your project to Active
    Projects default to Draft mode while you're setting up. When you're ready to accept signups, flip the toggle to Active in your project settings. The widget won't show and the hosted page won't accept submissions while in Draft.

    Share your link and start collecting signups
    Copy your widget embed code or hosted page URL from the dashboard. Paste the embed code before the </body> tag on your site, or share the hosted page URL directly. Your first signup generates your first referral loop.

What happens after someone signs up

Each new signup is assigned a position in the queue and receives a unique referral link. When they share that link and someone else signs up, they move up the leaderboard. Your analytics dashboard updates in real time.

A welcome email is sent automatically (if you've configured email automation — see Email Automation).

What each part of the dashboard does

  • Projects — your waitlist campaigns. Each project has its own signup form, referral link, and analytics.
  • Waitlist — the full list of signups with their position, referral count, and join date. You can export this as CSV.
  • Leaderboard — your top referrers ranked by referral count.
  • Analytics — signup trends, referral rate, traffic sources, and conversion data.
  • Settings — edit your project details, referral configuration, email templates, and embed code.

You're live. Once your project is Active and the widget or hosted page is accessible, you're collecting signups. Share the link on Twitter, in a newsletter, or in a community where your ICP hangs out to get the first batch of signups that seeds the referral loop.
